WOVEN THREADS
One of my most notable series, "The Woven Thread," encapsulates the intricate interplay of the elements. In this series, threads weave together with substance and space, transcending the boundaries of time and memory. It is a poignant reminder that everything in the universe is intricately connected, with the Artist herself being an integral part of this cosmic weave.
The art invites viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of all things and the beauty that can be found within this tapestry of existence.

DANCING WITH THE UNIVERSE
Investigating issues around wakefulness of being and connectedness, I often take inspiration from a deep relationship to my surrounding environment gathered through walking. I am interested in the role of plants in art and how art can make us conscious of our place in the world.

MOTION IMAGERY
Walking is an integral part of my practice and elements of moving through the environment can be seen in all aspects of my art. As a painter, I am moving paint across a canvas and so I move the video camera across the landscape, to capture passages of time on a narrative journey through space. Both brush and camera have performative elements. As I view the finished work in time I can still feel the remnants of this process. I would hope that the viewer has some experience of this too.

THE ART OF DRAWING
Figure drawing has served as a form of meditation for me. I concentrate on capturing the weight of a form and infusing it with personal energy, all while maintaining the anonymity of individual identity. The movement of the form itself becomes my primary focus.
I have gained a lot from participating in life drawing groups and workshops, while accumulating a substantial collection of resource drawings. These experiences have allowed me to connect with others and improve my artistic skills.

VERY MUCH SO
These paintings capture moments in time that evoke memories and experiences of nature. The use of colour, layers, and tactile strokes suggests ways we might feel and experience our environment and encourages us to rethink how we view our world.
While in Wellington, I encountered a long, steep flight of steps leading to The Terrace. Written on one of the steps with masking tape was: 'Stop, enjoy the view.' So, I did just that. I paused, lifted my gaze from the steps, turned, and surveyed the landscape. I found that to be a thoughtful message. We often forget to pause, shift our mindset, and appreciate a different view or perspective.
